I am pleased to announce a new annual
award series created to recognize the invaluable contributions
made to the college by staff who serve the Hunter community
as Higher Education Officers. Beginning in fall 2004,
three HEO Awards of $1,500 will be given to individuals
in the HEO title series, one each from the offices of
the Provost, Vice President for Student Affairs, and
Vice President for Finance and Administration, including
the development area. Awards will be based on significant
contributions to improving the lives of students, faculty
and staff at Hunter.
Faculty and HEOs are invited to nominate a HEO colleague
whose efforts have had an appreciable affect on the
Hunter community and its constituencies. Please use
the HEO Award Fact Sheet and Nomination Form provided
below as a guide to submitting nominations. Nominations
should be forwarded to the Vice President of your area
by Friday, October 15, 2004. Awards will be announced
in late October.
HEOs are truly a vital component of the college, and
these new awards will give us the opportunity to acknowledge
the important work they do and reward outstanding performance.
We look forward to giving this well-deserved recognition
to Hunter's HEOs.
